Diagnosis
Both conventional diagnostic systems and those especially designed for stage artists provide us with more reliable means to find out what are the exact causes and consequences of the process each artist undergoes. |
In terms of equipment, the Institut has high definition ultrasound scanners, videostroboscopy devices to assess lip vibration on wind instrument artists, mouthpiece condition mesuring systems, MIDI keyboards to measure finger coordination and mio-biofeedback devices which analise and enhance muscular tension levels when performing. Nevertheless, the most relevant information in order to make an accurate diagnosis is obtained by attentively listening to the artists themselves, to see how they feel, and through thorough physical examinations (both general and specific, while the artist is actually performing). |
