I consulted the Institute of Art Medicine after having spent more than 10 months without being able to play, going from specialist to specialist, without any of them being able to explain the problem and its solution to me.

At the Institute they diagnosed me and proposed some guidelines to follow and, since that day, I have been playing again.

Any other questions I asked them (whether about the mouthpiece, muscle tension, etc.) were resolved in the same way, always managing to give me a stretch or exercise that helped me.

There is always time in the consultation to explain what is happening, for auscultation, an ultrasound if necessary, and to determine the next steps at the end of the consultation. Whether it was the first visit or an emergency visit, I was always able to get an appointment fairly quickly. I find the price very reasonable for the quality of the service.

At the Institut de l'Art you will find a team specialized in musician pathologies. I believe it is the most appropriate place for a musician with a health problem related to their instrumental practice.
